Teck Heng & Peiling’s Wedding

Congratulations to Teck Heng and Peiling!

The wedding took place in Singapore and Pekan Nanas in Malaysia, so it is sort of my first overseas assignment. :p

Weddings in Malaysia are somewhat different the ones in Singapore. Firecrackers are set off to welcome the arrival of the newly weds; 50 tables at banquets are sort of the norm; Guests double up as wedding singers to add vibrance to the occasion.

What I particularly liked about this assignment was the unique opportunity to capture the hint of Pekan Nanas’ simplistic, old town charm with all the oxidized zinc and old provisions store as the setting.
